Salmon Festival

Salmonfest Willkommen!

The Native American Salmon Festival in Leavenworth (hence the german) is going on this weekend.
We joined Grandpa Roger (even Rin and Kade), Aunt Lindsey and Miles for fall festival fun!

First was the kiddie costume parade!
The costumes were provided... just pick out your favorite!

Grandpa Roger and Wolf Rolli.

A large Wolf costume for a little boy.
Rolli has been howling at home but of course he wouldn't make a sound in the Wolf get-up.
I kinda think he wanted out of it... he was a good sport anyways.

Vivian wouldn't have anything to do with the costumes.
So I wore the Flower... she still didn't like it.

The costume parade.
Vivian in my arms, Miles watching the rest of the silly kids, and Rolli looking for someone to hug.

After the parade we went to Story Time!
Vivian and Rolli in front of the Story Time tent.

Listening to the story.
Two Women told a traditional Native American story.
Song, dance, and costumes.
I loved it!
(thanks Aunt Lindsey for taking the sweet picture!)

The cousins touching the Story Time tent.  Cool!

We walked around a bit more.
Watched the local fish in the large tank.
Tasted some freshly campfire cooked salmon.
Saw the other kids catching fish.
And Rolli and Viv got their faces painted!

Goldfish (not to be confused with Goldfish Crackers).

Purple Flower.

Fun times!
and all before nap time.
