Go Fish!

Last night Marshall and I taught Rolli and Viv how to play the Go Fish! card game
that Aunt Janice gave them for Christmas.
Then this morning I came home from my jog to find Marshall playing Go Fish! with the kids
while Colter happily slept in his new swing.
Such a sweet scene :)
(I'm not sure but I may have filmed the video without sound.  Sorry.)

Our Merry Christmas!

I hope that everyone has enjoyed a very merry Christmas!
Ours was rather nice :)
... even though Rolli barfed 4 times on Christmas Eve (yuck!)

This is how we woke up on December 25th.
The magic of Christmas is best viewed through a child's eyes.

Me and ColTee watching the blissful chaos that two 3 year olds opening gifts create.

Rolli with his new watch from Santa.

Vivian informed that it was a special day.
And that meant she could wear my lipstick with her new fairy dress :)

Yes, it was a special day for our fortunate little family.
Filled with lots of love from Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Thank you to everyone who makes us feel spoiled!

Santa!

Santa is coming!
Well, actually he was already in Wenatchee for a short visit...

Santa and Colter Lee.
This little guy didn't even make a peep.
All snuggles in Santa's arms.
Dreaming about his Christmas wish.

The Wallace Family 5 and Santa.
I thought this would be the year that Rolli and Viv warmed up to the Ol' Jolly Man.
Clearly I thought wrong.
Both Rolli and Viv knew just what they wanted to ask Santa for.
We even practiced asking "nicely."

Rolli, "I would like a remote control monster truck.  I mean an airplane.  Please."
Vivian, "I would like a doll.  Please."
Viv  even said that she wanted a remote control baby doll at during one practice.

Then as soon as we laid eyes on Santa the twins lost all confidence.
In fact I had to tell St. Nick what was on their Christmas wish list.
So, once again.  We have a family picture with Santa Claus :)

Soccer

Rolli and Vivian (and their cousin Miles)
did a great job participating in the last Fire Tots soccer session!
Thanks to their Daddy Marshall for taking them every week.
Unfortunately when I take them to soccer all they want to do is sit on my lap :(

*Just an FYI...
My laptop, which I do most of my blog post from, is on it's way out.
Boo :/
So the blog posts may be a bit spaced out for a while.

Fall is falling!

I love the changing of seasons!
The 5 of us have been enjoying our crisp, bright fall days.
Rolli and Vivian trying to catch the leafs and "helicopters"
that Marshall was knocking out of the tree.
Simple fun in the fresh air :)

Jacobson Preserve

It's November and we just hiked the last of 5 hikes to complete the
Land Trust Challenge!

Actually, to be honest,
we turned around a little shy of the top
because it was too windy and cold for me and baby Colter.
But we are still counting Jacobson Preserve as completed.
Rolli and Viv hiked well despite the bone chilling wind.
Colter slept through most of the hike all snuggled up to Mommy :)

Rolli and his strong little legs leading the way.

Momma Vivian insisted that she bring her new baby, Izzy II, along for the hike.

Daddy spotted a puff ball mushroom!

Rolli, always finding rocks to jump off of.

Cold wind and a crisp sky.

These tired kiddos are lucky to have a strong Daddy
who loves them enough to carry them both back down the hill.

Me and Colter followed our favorite 4 as we raced to get back to our warm car!

Congratulations to Rolli and Vivian for hiking (or mostly hiking) all 5 hikes of the Challenge!

randomness in October

Just a few random photos from October to share...

We missed the official Homemade Cookie Day on October 1st.
But we didn't waste anytime getting cookies baked on October 2nd!
Rolli is such a little helper in the kitchen!
He really does do a good job measuring, mixing and waiting.

Vivian's favorite part of 'helping' in the kitchen is the tasting part.
She can't keep her little fingers out of anything!

During this last pregnancy I was often asked,
"Are you a lot smaller with just one baby?"
Well, see for yourself.
36 weeks pregnant with twins.

36 weeks pregnant with a singleton baby.

Vivian and Rolli helping to celebrate my birthday with a trip to the cupcake shop.

Vivian.
My busy body princess sat perfectly still for her pedicure.

Me and Vivian treated Amy to a pedicure for her baby shower.
We can't wait for Baby Girl Verellen to join our us for our next spa day!

Homemade popovers thanks to our productive laying flock
with cherry jam thanks to Grandma Jean
and apricot jam thanks to Becky :)

Rolli ready to go fishing with Grandpa Rollin and Daddy.
This mini fisherman brought home 3 trout (1 caught by his Dad)!

Till next time....

Halloween

Rolli, Vivian and Marshall.
Picking out our pumpkins at Smallwoods!

On Halloween Marshall took the twins trick-o-treating in Cashmere with their cousin.

Ladybug Vivian.
She wanted to be a ladybug again even though I bought her a brand new Cinderella dress.

Spiderman with his Easter egg basket.
This kid was in too much of a hurry to hit the candy streets.
Wouldn't even stop and smile for one picture.

While his big brother and sister where out getting high on sugar
Colter stayed home getting drunk on milk.
He suckled so hard he darn near ate his bottom lip.
Then he passed out drooling.
No shame.

Birth Day Party!

Marshall, Rolli and Viv helped me celebrate Colter's birth with a little party!
Marshall, me, Rolli, Colter and Vivian.
This is the only picture of all 5 of us together (and you can barely see Viv).

We sang "Happy Birthday!" to Colter.
Then Rolli and Viv got to open their gifts from Colter ;)

It was a real PAR-tee!
Lots of noise and a bit of craziness.

Poor Daddy was so tired during the celebration.
He was up all night with me but without the endorphins of childbirth.

Happy Birth Day Colter!!

bringing baby home

After one short night in the hospital Colter and I got our discharge papers!
Vivian, Colter and Rollin.
Our first car ride as a family of 5 in the new Pilot!

We wheren't home long on Sunday before Marshall and I concluded that staying inside wasn't going to be an option with energetic toddler twins and one attention deprived dog.
Besides it was an absolutely beautiful fall day.
Colter and Bella.
All fed, bundled and snuggled for his first trip to the park.

With Little Mommy as his big sister this kid is going to be well nourished :)

...and I may just be tired and slightly irritable
as we establish our new routine with a very hungry baby.
Thank goodness for maternity leave and Daddy!!

Meeting Baby Colter!

Last Friday night I put Rollin and Vivian to bed like I always do.
Rolli tried to snuggle me extra tight by covering my head with blankets.
I said, "Oh, don't do that.  It makes me feel sick."
Rolli asked, "Why does that make you sick Mommy?"
My reply, "Well, Buddy.  I'm 9 months pregnant."
At that he sat straight up in bed, threw his hand down and said,
"WHAT?!"
Little did we know that that was the last night of my pregnancy.

The kiddos hardly knew I was gone before Marshall brought them to the hospital to meet
"Baby Colter"

Rollin, Colter and Vivian Wallace

These 2 couldn't of been more excited to meet their new brother!

Daddy had to wrestle Vivian for a turn at holding Colter.

Rolli was so gentle with his Baby Colter.

LOVE!

and even more love :)

Our little Mama Vivian in heaven with Colter in her arms.

My sweet boys all snuggled up.

Colter already fits right into the family!
He is the perfect snuggler with an edge to survive.

Colter Lee

This lil' bundle of snuggles joined us at
4:26am on Saturday October 26, 2013!
Colter Lee Wallace

Weighing 6lbs 11oz
and already sunbathing.

Measuring 19.5 inches long.

Mommy and Colter.
Just an hour and a half new :)

There is nothing better than rosy warm baby cheeks snuggled on bare skin.

Goodmorning Sonshine :)

Sweet dreams Baby Colter.
We love you!
