Here comes Santa!

Vivian, Rolli, Colter (and Mommy too) with Santa!

Telling Santa what's on our wish list!

We decided that Santa would probably surprise us this year ;)

 Our stockings are hung!

And the Christmas tree quietly waits for Santa.

We have a new conversationalist in the house!

Doesn't he remind you of his big sissy?!
 We used to say,
"I can't wait til Vivian starts talking and we can understand what she is saying."
Lot's of good story times at our house now!

swimming lessons

Rolli and Vivian completed another 6 weeks of swimming lessons last Thursday.
They both did well and completed the course successfully!
Cousin Miles took swimming lessons at the same time too,
he class was on the other end of the pool :)

Colter had fun watching his brother and sister in the pool.

This wild man had even more fun being crazy during lessons!

"Rollin is a ball of energy and a great swimmer!"

"Vivian is an excellent swimmer!"
Usually Viv floated without a lifejacket.

At the end of each lesson all the kids got to jump in the water by themselves.
Rolli loved to do cannon balls!

Viv is a fearless jumper!

At the very last swimming lesson all the kids wore life jackets
and learned about boat safety.

Getting in the boat!

Boat safety.

The proper way to get out of a boat and swim to the side.

Rolli, Miles and Vivian.
Thumbs-up for swimming lessons!

Halloween 2014

We waited to Friday morning to carve our Halloween pumpkins.
Rolli was super excited to have Daddy help him with his "biggest" pumpkin.
Vivian couldn't keep her hands out of all of the pumpkin goop.
And Colter had fun tasting and hitting anything he could gets his hands on.
Rolli supervising Daddy's carving skills.

Colter doing his thing and figuring stuffs out.

Bat pumpkin!

Pumpkins carved!
Costumes on!
Ready for Trick-o-Treating!

Daddy and Colter.

My fav Halloween crowd!
Viv was a Lady Bug, again (by her choice)
Rolli Spider Man, again (by his choice)
Colter a dinosaur.

First stop was Del's house!

I can't stand how cute this lil' dinosaur was!
Colter was all about the trick-o-treating too :)

After making the rounds in our neighborhood we went to a friends party
and joined a big group of kids trick-o-treating.
Rolli and Viv where a little slow to warm up to the crowd...
but once they did it was game on!
It was so fun to watch our cute Lady Bug chasing after the other kids from house to house.
And Rolli held his own running from door-to-door with the other boys.
On our way home Rolli said,
"Mom, when you where telling me to stop running
I couldn't listen to you because I had to keep running with those other boys."
Well, he's honest and that tells me that he did hear me.
When we got home Viv had to try on all of her princess costumes
like the other girls where wearing and parade around a bit.
And Colter fell fast asleep...til 0230.

Any beats on what the kids dress up as for next year?!

Happy Birthday Colter!

Happy 1st Birthday to our lil' Buddy!
Rolli and Viv picked out ColT's cake.
Apple cake drizzled with carmel sauce and topped with whipped cream.
He's a lucky one-year-old!

Birthday Piñata!
Marshall and the Twins made a beautiful sun and flower piñata for my special day :)
We all agreed that it'd be the perfect party addition for Colter's first annual celebration.

Sweet nap time for the Birthday Boy and Grandpa Rolli :)

We all LOVE you Colter Lee!

P.S.  Once again I missed every single photo opportunity with Colter smiling.
If anyone has some pics to share that'd be greatly appreciated!

"P" is for pumpkin

Fall harvest is nearly over (if not already) and Halloween is just a week away.
Time to pick out our pumpkins for carving!

Me and the kiddos drove out to Smallwoods
and spent a rainy afternoon visiting the
petting zoo before choosing our favorite pumpkins.
Vivian and Mr. Friendly Bunny.

Rolli, "Mom!  Take a picture of me how close I am to those little birdies."
If you'll look really close off to Rolli's right next to the green hose
you may be able to spot two small birds which Rollin thought where particularly close to him.

This Llama Dude came out in the rain to greet his lone visitors (us).

I'm literally Laughing Out Loud at this picture!
Taken by my personal photographer, Vivian.

Sweet Miss Mae and the noisy geese.

Rolli and Viv where excited to see the piggies out enjoying the mud :)

"He likes us!"

The goat was more interested in Colter than Colter was in the goat.

These smart guys where trying to stay dry.

Measuring up!

We found the pumpkins!

Rolli's pumpkin weighed 43lbs and was by far the biggest of the 3 that we brought home.

Thanks for the fun, rainy day!

Rusty (red) Bridge

Birthdays come and go.
I always make a special wish on my special day.
This year my birthday wish was to go for a hike with my family.
Lucky me...

My wish came true!

Me and my family out for a hike on my birthday!

We hiked this short, lovely hike up the Tumwater and across the Red Bridge.

Rollin and his pirate pose.
(This is how pirate's stand at the front of their ship)

Vivian and the biggest fall leaf ever!

Beautiful Bella.

Colter along for the ride.

Best buddies.

Colter, me and Marshall.

Mischievous Vivian could not stay away from the puddles.
I think she jumped in every single one.

This is the only puddle that Rolli jumped in.

Tricked us all and didn't even land in the puddle.

The best view.

A lesson on the life cycle of salmon.

My favorite husband.

Colter loves his Daddy.

Rolli and his stick...
that was taller than him...
and he still insisted on carry all the way back to the car.

Thanks for my birthday hike!
