A picnic in the woods!

After breakfast this morning the kids, Bella and I packed up a lunch and loaded into the car.

We were headed for Tyee... but I forgot exactly how to get there so...

we stopped at Lake Creek Campground instead.

This was a nice unpopulated little spot for a woodsy picnic!

Bella ran straight for the high, fast moving creek.

Eeek!

This is Vivian's reaction to seeing Bella get in the scary water.

She quickly got over the initial fear and started throwing rocks in for Bella to go after.

Rolli got right to exploring and jumping off rocks!

All the freedom and Vivian just wants a piggy-back ride!

This kid couldn't stop throwing rocks into the water!

Ant!  We stopped at almost every ant they spotted... and there were a lot!

Bella is thirsty too!

Yay for the outdoors!  

Marshall and I definitely need to take the twins camping.

I'm not going to lie...

Gardening with these two is challenging!

AND extremely rewarding :)

Rolli and Vivian ready to plant their sunflowers!

Still holding on to his little starts Rolli digs a hole.

Vivian wasn't about to set her baby sunflowers down either.

Almost in the ground...

And of course they need lots of water!

And more water, and more water, and more.

Thus far our sunflower project has been successful.

I can't wait until my little helpers become more help than they are little.

Life as usual

I love sunny Sundays, especially Mother's Day Sunday.

We enjoyed some park time with family.

A long, quiet jog.

Yappy Hour with the dogs.

And dinner as usual.

The kids had leftovers (which means I didn't have to cook)

I had a not-so-fresh-salad (but at least I didn't have to cook)

And we enjoyed good dinner conversation with my two favorite comedians.

Vivian's first pedicure!

Marshall treated Miss Sweet Vivian and I to pedicures today!

That's just what us girls needed! 

Aaaah... a warm, bubbly foot soak.

Oh-la-la!  Too many colors!

Vivian washed her hair in the foot water while I had my toes painted.

Now we are totally ready for summer, bare feet and green grass!

FYI... Daddy and Rolli stayed home and did 'guy things'...

sprouts

The kids sunflower seeds have sprouted!

All that careful watering...

direct placement in the sun (out of reach from little hands)...

And a bit of love...

has paid off!  

Rolli and Vivian were excited to see sprouts growing in their small pots of dirt.
