Lunch = Helicopters

Rolli and Vivian L-O-V-E taking lunch to Daddy!
... and this is why ...
Daddy works with helicopters!
Rolli wearing his Daddy's flight helmet.

Vivian ready to fly in the helicopter too!

Marshall taking us out to see "Daddy's helicopters".
Some day the kids might realize that the helicopters aren't exactly Daddy's,
but even then I'm sure we will refer to the Rapps contracted helicopters as "Daddy's".

We just traded lunch for helicopter tours.

Marshall and his little ones.

What kid wouldn't want a REAL helicopter to play with?!

Is somebody getting in the pilot's set?

oh dear.

"Ready Mom?"

Pilot Rolli!
Pilot Vivian!

We should be taking Daddy lunch more often
That was a ton of fun!

Another Saturday, another hike!

We just can't stop hiking!
One of our (mine) favorite hikes.
Sauer's Mountain.

Stacia, Vivian and Bella at the view point.
I love the clouds and the smell of fall.

Mr. Rolli "Big Guy" with his find.

Vivian and Stacia enjoying the fall hike.

Rolli stopping to look at the yellow fall leafs.
Bella being Bella... up and down the trail chasing after sounds and smells.

June 2011.

Wow!  Seems like we've just hiked the last year or so away!

But not really when you compare us to
Stacia who actually did hike the last 4 1/2 months straight!
Stacia, Thanks for joining us for yet another hike today!

manners, please.

I've been making (a sincere) effort to teach Rolli and Vivian manners.
Being polite and all that other business
is hard to learn when you have the attention span of a toddler.
Thus far both kiddos are good at saying "No thank you.", "please" and "love you!"
We are still working on sharing and keeping a calm voice (ect...).

Lately my favorite thing to practice is a proper introduction.
Watch this little video and you may just agree with me ;)
I love hearing my 'babies' pronounce their names!
So next time you meet up with one or both of these little sweethearts shake their hand and introduce yourself
(just be warned that sometimes Rolli claims to be called "Big Guy!"
and Vivian may just tell you her name is "Princess".)

always growing up!

They just keep GROWING!
Rolli and Vivian have past the 2 1/2 year mark.

My little babies are getting so tall!

Airplanes!

Marshall has been anxious to schedule a flight for some much needed solo sky therapy.

And Daddy was nice enough to let these two "Junior Pilots" watch the ground part of flying.

Rolli, Vivian and Daddy giving the airplane a thorough pre-check.

Daddy and Rolli.

Mommy and Vivian.

"Whoow!  Airplane, whooaw!"

There goes Daddy!

We didn't watch for long because it was too chilly.

"Bye Daddy!"

Marshall would like to take his co-pilots up for a real flight soon!

Icicle Ridge with Daddy!

After filling Daddy's tummy with hot-from-the-oven- biscuits topped with homemade jam, freshly scrambled eggs and coffee
(Rolli and Vivian have been practicing making Daddy coffee the whole time he has been gone)
Marshall agreed to take me, our crazy toddlers and Bella for a jaunt through the trees.
Rolli, Mommy and Vivian.
En route to Icicle Ridge for a little morning hike!

Bella too!!

We made a stop at our favorite Java Buzz to add a bit of 'umf' to our energy.

Thanks for the iced chocolate milk topped with SPRINKLES!

"Chocolate MILK!"

And we made the saying...
"getting there is half the fun."
to be totally true by surprising Granpie and Kona with a quick visit on the way.

Icicle Ridge Trail

and they're off!

Rolli and Vivian really LOVE to hike!

Vivian especially likes to be near Mommy.

Daddy, Vivian and Rolli.
At the perfect vantage point for watching the heavy helicopters lift off.

Fall is in the air.

Like Father, like Son.

Rolli couldn't be happier!
Hiking with Daddy :)

If you've ever wondered what to do when you get tired on the trail...

apparently you just lay down...
right there in the trail and act injured.

Check out these short video clips.
and

Rolli and Vivian.
Tired, DIRTY and hungary.

The three loves of my life :)

Daddy and his little girl.

One more nap before we make it back to the car.

This is kid and his sister are ready for a real nap!

Good times with Daddy around!

National Homemade Cookie Day!

In case you missed it...
Yesterday was
National Homemade Cookie Day!!!

I measured all the ingredients out while these little munchkins slept.

Then Rolli and Vivian took turns adding the butter, sugar, eggs, flour and chips with flakes.
Mixing up our homemade cookies just so.

And everyone knows what the best part of making cookies is!...

Licking the utensils clean!

Rolli had to fight me and Vivian away from his 'licking' rights with the spatula.

Then into the oven for the final touch.

"Done! Mom, done?"

"Cookie!"

"Homemade Cookie Cheers!"

"Mmmm, yum!"

"Happy National Homemade Cookie Day!"

The second best part to tasting our cookies was
driving around and delivering them to friends and family!
Granpie and Rin took us to their "secret beach" to burn off the extra cookie energy.
We even got invited in for dinner at one of our stops!
